Michael aka Chike: (Brisket, Ribs and Chicken)
Michael is the chief Pitmaster of HAWG Nation BBQ. Michael specializes in Brisket but also focuses on other categories. Prior to forming HAWG Nation, Michael was solely in charge of cooking brisket for the Hawgs Gone Smokin team where he won multiple first place championships. Prior to joining the Hawgs, Michael never cooked, tasted or smelled a brisket in his life. Brisket still remains one of our toughest categories for competition, yet we continue to place high in the rankings. We are always striving to improve our results.

 
Lou aka Boch aka Meat Man: (Pork)

Lou aka Boch aka Meat Man: (Pork)
Boch is in charge of the team’s pork category. He grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania where you are not judged by how much money you make but by how well you can cook, and more importantly, how much you can eat. Boch likes to cook for friends and family and somehow it always turns into a cooking and eating competition. He originally started cooking pulled pork in a crock pot then moved to cooking it in a smoker. The rest is history.

Karen aka SAP: (Everything)
Karen spends her days teaching kick boxing and aerobics. When Michael and Lou formed their own team, they decided they needed a Sous Chef. Karen makes sure the team runs on time, prepares turn-in boxes, and keeps the entire team running smoothly. If not, she will kick our butts.
